# [USA] How to Check if Your Phone Is eSIM Compatible

Before purchasing a PhoneBox eSIM, please follow the steps below to confirm whether your device supports eSIM.

**__Important Note__**
Device compatibility with eSIM can vary depending on the device model, region of purchase, or the original carrier the phone was locked to.

# How to Check if Your Phone Is eSIM Compatible

1. Check in Your Device Settings

* iPhone : Go to Settings > Cellular.
If the “Add eSIM” option is available, your device supports eSIM activation.

* Android / Samsung Galaxy : Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
If the “Add eSIM” option appears, the device is eSIM-compatible.

* Google Pixel : Go to Settings → Network & internet → SIMs.
If “Add SIM” or “Set up an eSIM” is displayed, the device supports eSIM functionality.

2. Check via Dial Code

* Open your phone’s dial pad > Enter *#06#
If an EID number is displayed, your device generally supports eSIM
If no EID is shown, the device may not support eSIM, or eSIM may be disabled due to region or carrier restrictions
