To ensure a smooth activation process, please make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.

Activate Your eSIM with QR code

Once your eSIM is ready, we will send the eSIM QR code to your email.

iOS / iPhone

Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM
Scan the QR code on your email
Tap Add Cellular Plan
Follow the on-screen instructions

Before purchasing a PhoneBox eSIM, please follow the steps below to confirm whether your device supports eSIM.

Important Note Device compatibility with eSIM can vary depending on the device model, region of purchase, or the original carrier the phone was locked to.

How to Check if Your Phone Is eSIM Compatible

Check in Your Device Settings

iPhone Go to Settings > Cellular. If the “Add eSIM” option is available, your device supports eSIM activation.
Android / Samsung Galaxy Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager. If the “Add eSIM” option appears, the device is eSIM-compatible.
Google Pixel Go to Settings → Network & internet → SIMs. If “Add SIM” or “Set up an eSIM” is displayed, the device supports eSIM functionality.

If an EID number is displayed, your device generally supports eSIM.
If no EID is shown, the device may not support eSIM, or eSIM may be disabled due to region or carrier restrictions

PhoneBox Monthly and Prepaid Plan Comparison

Monthly Plans

Monthly plans follow a fixed billing cycle, running from the 2nd of each month to the 1st of the following month.

Monthly plans offer greater flexibility — you may cancel your plan at any time, and unused service periods may be eligible for a refund,
You can apply for a Vacation Plan if traveling long-term (minimum 1 month, maximum 3 months)
You can continue using data even after reaching your limit. Data overage is charged at $15 + tax per 1GB
You will receive a monthly invoice for your payments

Monthly Plans are recommended for customers who:

Plan to stay in Canada for more than 3 months
Appreciate having the option to pause or adjust their service depending on their situation
Want the flexibility to use data beyond their plan limit

Prepaid Plans A prepaid plan has no fixed billing cycle. You can activate it at any time, and it remains active for 30 days. After the 30-day period ends, you must manually extend the plan to continue using the services. — or you can enable Auto-Renewal to have your plan extended automatically each term.
