How does the online activation work?
Requirements:
- To proceed with the online activation, you must have a valid credit card. PhoneBox accepts both Canadian and international credit cards.
Online activation can be done for both Prepaid and Monthly plans via PhoneBox website. Check our guideline about how to complete your activation request on the video down below. You can also refer to the step-by-step guidelines below the videos.
How to activate your number: step-by-step
Step 1
Go to website then click “Activation” found at the top menu bar. If you already has a SIM card to activate, select "Yes". If you don't, please select "No" and you will be redirected to our plans page.
Step 2
Enter the 20-digit serial number found at the back of the SIM card and click “Next”. Then you can choose between the available plans and click "Regular SIM".
Step 3
Confirm your plan and click "Purchase".
Step 4
Enter your name and email address so we can register your account. After that, please inform the province and city you are living in Canada. This information is crucial to provide you with the correct phone number and area code.
Step 5
If you want to have a new phone number, just select "No" in the Port In section.
If you already have a phone number in another carrier and want to keep it to your new PhoneBox account, please select "Yes". Then, provide your current carrier, account number and phone number. You may need to ask your current carrier to provide you the account number information.
*Only Canadian phone numbers are accepted.
Step 6
Select the date when you would like to start using the services, then click "Next".
Step 7
Please, review your plan details. After reviewing all the terms and conditions, click "Proceed to Checkout"
Step 8
Choose your payment method and complete the payment section. If you are using a credit card, you also can check the box below the fields to set up automatic payments. Please, ensure that all the payment information you entered is correct.
Step 9
Click "Confirm and Pay" and you will see the "Activation Complete" page.
