How to activate PhoneBox service under eSIM?
ow do I sign up for a PhoneBox service?
Activating a phone plan with PhoneBox is very easy and convenient. Simply follow the steps shown below to complete your activation process.
If you don’t have a SIM card
Visit our website and click on the “Plans” section on the top banner.
Select among our favorable plans the one that works best for you. Please be sure to select “Shop American Plans.”
Choose an option between eSIM and Regular SIM.
If you choose eSIM, please follow the instructions below.
eSIM
Check Device Compatibility
If you choose eSIM, you will see a pop-up below. This notice is to verify if your device is eligible to use an eSIM. Enter the 15 digits of the IMEI number of your device.
Now the website can show you whether your device is compatible with eSIM or not. If your phone is a device that can use eSIM, you will get this message. If you have received the notice, please click the checkbox and then click <Next> to continue.
However, if you get this message below, it means you can not use eSIM on your device. Please choose the Regular SIM option.
Shop
Check your selected plan once again and click the button to proceed with the purchase.
Personal information
On this page, we will need your personal information to activate your service and contact you.
Personal information
Please enter your first and last names, email, state, and city in the Personal Information section. For email, you cannot use one that has already been used. Only one number can be opened per email.
Port In
Port-in is transferring a phone number currently used by other carriers to PhoneBox. If you do not have an existing phone number or want to open a new number, please select No. Then please set the date you would like to start using our services.
On the other hand, if you already have a phone number through another carrier and want to retain it, please select Yes for the port-in question. Please confirm whether the phone number is a wireless number or a landline number.
If it's a landline number, we regret to inform you that we are not able to port in the landline number at this moment.
If you are porting in your wireless number, please enter your phone number and verify to see if your number is eligible to be transferred.
If it's verified, please enter the correct port-in information; your Account Number and PIN. Also, the service address, which is the registered address on your current service provider's side, needs to be entered.
If your phone number is not eligible for port-in, then you will see the error message below.
Shipping
A shipping address is required only when you select a regular SIM card. You can select either regular shipping or express shipping, depending on your requirements.
Please note that the shipping address can be different from the service address that is required for port-in.
Activation date
Lastly, on this page, you can select the activation date. The activation date means the day when the actual service starts. Please select your activation date and click Next.
Review
Please double-check if your information is correct before proceeding to the next page. After confirmation, please proceed to checkout.
Payment
Finally, select your payment method. You can choose from Credit Card and PayPal. For credit cards, we accept payment with Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Auto Payment is strongly recommended as it provides the feasibility of your extension. If you want to set up the auto payment, check the checkbox -maI.png)

If you see the pop-up notice "Thank you for payment", it means the activation was completed!
Please be informed that you will receive your service, phone number, and your client ID via your registered email address on your service starting date.
