I can’t receive text messages
What to Do If You Receive Text Messages
If you are unable to send or receive SMS messages, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
Step 1. Restart Your Phone
Turn your phone off and wait 30 seconds before turning it back on.
If you are using a physical SIM card, please remove it, reinsert it, and then power the device back on.
Most issues can be resolved by simply restarting your device.
Once you restart your device, try receiving a text message. If you still have the same trouble, move on to the next step.
Step 2. Make Sure “Do Not Disturb” Is Turned Off
Do Not Disturb may silence notifications and prevent you from noticing new messages.
- iPhone
Settings > Do Not Disturb > Make sure all toggles are turned off.
- Android:
Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb > Make sure a toggle is turned off
Step 3. If Messages From Certain Numbers Aren’t Coming Through
Check if the specific number has been blocked.
- Apple
Settings > Privacy & Security > Blocked Contacts > Ensure the number is not listed.
- Android
Messages app > Tap the menu button (top right) > Block numbers and spam > Block numbers > Make sure the number is not blocked.
Step 4. Check Your iMessage or RCS Messaging status
If the issue is specific to iMessage (iPhone) or RCS Chat Features (Android), make sure your mobile data is working properly.
These messaging services require a data connection.
Step 5. If the Issue Still Isn’t Resolved
If none of the steps above resolve the issue, please contact the PhoneBox Customer Support team
