Troubleshooting options available on the mobile device.
You have access to a few options to restore missing services and clear out any potential settings that may cause an issue. These options can correct many issues, including - Calls, Texts, and Data issues.
Here is a list of a few troubleshooting tips and tricks available on the Mobile Device:
- Restart the Device: Although this is a very simple process, it can often clear up any settings which may cause errors, effectively resolving many service issues.
- Power Down the Device & Remove/Re-insert the SIM: This method can also correct settings issues, with additional strength, as the device will detect a new SIM and establish a fresh connection!
- Network Reset Settings (iPhone): With this process, the device will completely reset to the correct settings matching your current Network Provider. To process the network reset, kindly follow these steps:
• iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Enter your device password to confirm
• Android: Settings > General management or System > Reset or Reset options > Reset Network Settings ** This can be different, depending on your Android device model.
Case example:
Mr. John is experiencing a service issue. Specifically, he is unable to send/receive texts and use his data. Before contacting Customer Support, Mr. John has a few options which can restore services available on his device:
- Mr. John has attempted to restart his device, however, the service issue remains.
- Mr. John can then attempt to power down his device and carefully remove/re-insert the SIM card.
After restoring power and testing services, he realized the text messages were now functional. However, the data remains un-accessible.
- Since Mr. John is using an iPhone 12, he reset his Network Settings following the steps for iPhone. After processing the Network Reset, Mr. John got full access back, and the service issues have been resolved!
