Understanding of the First Billing charges

This function is only valid for a Monthly Plan.

Phonebox has a fixed billing cycle with a monthly plan, the first month service fee has been prorated based on the service days.

All new activation with monthly plans require an upfront payment for the first prorated month + the next month service fee. Due to the fixed billing cycle, when the activation is requested in the middle of the billing cycle, service fee and data capacity are prorated based on the actual days left in that month..

• Prorated service fee on the first month : (Monthly plan price ÷ total days in that month) x Days left until 2nd of following month
• Prorated data on the first month: (Selected Monthly Plan’s data amount ÷ Days in that month) x Days left until 2nd of the following month

Case Example:

Andy placed an order for a monthly plan $35 7GB on 15 May. He is required to pay an up front payment of
First prorated month (May.15 to Jun.01): $35 * 18/31 = $20.32 +tax
The next month’s complete payment (from Jun.02 to Jul.01) = $35 + tax
Prorated data limit from May.15 to Jun.01: 7GB * 18/31 = 4.06 GB
