What is Vacation Plan and how to set it up

What is a vacation plan


A Vacation Plan lets you temporarily suspend your mobile service while you’re away for an extended period.


Your number is safely kept, and no monthly fees are charged. During the vacation period, your service is paused including call, text and data.


Requirements


To apply for a Vacation Plan, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • You must have a Monthly Plan.
  • Your account must have been active for at least 6 months.
  • If you previously used a Vacation Plan, your line must be reactivated for 6 months before applying again or requesting an extension.


How the Vacation plan Works


Duration & Cost


  • Minimum application length is 1 month and go up to maximum 3 month
  • Completely free (no monthly charges, no application fees)


[Note] The service fee for the vacation plan effective month is converted into an account credit and automatically applied to the first billing month after the vacation plan ends.


Application & Timing Rules


  • Vacation Plans must be requested before the 26th of the current month to take effect for the following month.
  • Vacation Plans can only start on the 2nd day of the month and end on the 1st day of the month.
  • Partial billing cycles are not available. Vacation Plans must cover full months only.

If you choose to resume your service before the vacation period ends:

  • The full monthly service fee will be charged
  • Any existing credit will be applied to the charge


Can I Extend My Vacation Plan? 


Yes. You can request an extension as long as the total vacation period does not exceed 3 months.

Go to the PhoneBox website

If you don’t have an account, please create one first. You can easily sign up using your email address.


  1. Select Settings from the menu. 

  1. Click Vacation Hold

  1. Click Set up vacation plan


  1. Select start and end months

  1. Confirm the details and complete the request
